10 Tips for Visiting Paris
These tips will help make your trip much more enjoyable
Paris is a beautiful city with rich culture and history. I still remember my last trip to Paris in 2014 so very clearly.
It was a trip I will always cherish. A trip filled with views that were so very breath taking. Photos can never do justice to this amazing city. If you are a person who loves travelling, you need to add Paris to your bucket list.
To get the best out of your holiday in Paris, take note of the following :
Tip 1
Sort all your travel bookings early in order to get the best deals on your flights and accommodation.
Tip 2
Ensure you are adequately covered when it comes to travel insurance. In fact this must be the general rule to anywhere you travel.
Tip 3
Fimiliarise yourself with the French language. The French are extremely proud of their language and culture. Speaking in English can be offensive to them. However, even attempting to speak some broken French goes a long way as to not attempting at all.
Tip 4
Be prepared to wait in long queues for the tourist attraction spots. If you want to avoid the long queues try booking tickets to these tourist attractions online. It will save you precious time.
Tip 5
Make sure you have lots of space in your phone’s memory or carry extra memory cards for your camera as you will want to take lots of photos of the deep history as well as the general tourist attractions.
Tip 6
Try exploring as much as you possibly can on foot. There is so much to see in Paris. Time will never be enough. I have found walking to be a great way for me to see more of the city.
Tip 7
Do not only stick to the well known tourist attraction spots. There are also lesser known and even some free destinations like museums and churches that are definitely worth visiting.
Tip 8
It is no secret! Paris is an expensive city. So be prepared to be spending a lot of money if you want to visit all the tourist attractions. Planning and budgeting is very important in the city of Paris.
Tip 9
If you want to blend into the crowd and not stand out then avoid speaking loudly. The French in general do not speak loud in public. If you choose to speak loudly, you are definitely going to get some stares.
Tip 10
Beware of pickpockets! Especially in crowded places, the metro and subway. As much as it is safe in general, you should still be aware of your surroundings.
